Regarding Steffen Zacharias, what do you all think? Do we need to recheck anything or everything at all? I think I could get quite a few things done this week, if necessary or if you should need any support ...

I don't know why we overread the information about Geneviève Hersent on page 25 for such a long time. I think our focus was on Roger Worrod at this time. But now I read everything and I added all information to the database. :-)
Great. Thanks! And in case anyone wants to read more about Page Jones appearing in TRINTY (and also in SACCO AND VANZETTI), here is the entire newspaper article from Lewiston Evening Journal (November 27, 1971):

I only know that it's 100% not Nick Alexander who is dubbing the voice of Steffen Zacharias. Again, it is very possible that it is Zacharias himself, but I don't live sound films with him to compare with, so I don't know what to say...

Oh, I see, no problem ☺️ I myself or anybody here could provide a clip from "Death Wish II" starring Charley Bronson. SZ plays has a supporting role as doctor or M.E. if I remember it correctly. What's my file size limit here if I want to upload anything? Or am I limited to uploading "photos only" anyway?

I don't know, but I would assume that due to the size, videos must be uploaded elsewhere and linked to here.
For audio files I can recommend uploading to vocaroo.com

Anyway, a few more voice updates:

EVEN ANGELS EAT BEANS (1973):

Bill Vanders: Robert Sommer
Steffen Zacharias: Gene Luotto
George Wang: Ted Rusoff

BLACKIE THE PIRATE (1971):

Aldo Cecconi: John Stacy

VIVA DJANGO (1968):

José Torres: Dan Sturkie
Pinuccio Ardia: George Higgins
Lee Burton: Mel Welles
Roberto Simmi: Michael Tor
Gianni Di Benedetto: Rodd Dana

And a correction: George Eastman is dubbed by Edward Mannix, and not by Robert Spafford.

GOD FORGIVES... I DON'T! (1967):

Franco Gulà: Dan Sturkie

I see that Lloyd Battista is listed as the voice of Terence Hill, but that should be only in the American re-dub, right? I don't think he was Hill's voice in the original export dub recorded in Rome...

Thanks for the update. I added it to the database.

Concerning Lloyd Battista in "God forgives" I didn't know that there are two english dubbing versions. So I delete Battista, because we don't want to mix the two versions.

Die dänische davon ist die, wo Terence Hill dieselbe Stimme hat wie bei "Ace High" und "Boots Hill".

I think many of you are aware that there are actually two different English language versions of A REASON TO LIVE, A REASON TO DIE (1972). I've just done a comparison of the two versions here: https://dubbedinrome.blogspot.com/2025/ ... on-to.html
Just to quickly summarize, I believe that the original dub is the dubbing that covers the entire film. In this version, James Coburn does not dub his own voice as he was presumably not available to do it.
The second English dub was most likely created for the film's premiere in the US in 1974. James Coburn dubs himself here, presumably at the insistence of the American distributors. This US version is much shorter and is for example missing the lenghty opening sequence with the church etc, and it moves the ending to the beginning as a kind of foreshadowing, changes some music etc. Some of the dub voices are the same, but many were re-dubbed with new dubbers, and much of the profanity in the dialogue was toned down (presumably to make the film more suited for airings on US television). Anyway, these are the voices I can identify in the different dubs:

Original export dub:

- James Coburn: Michael Forest
- Bud Spencer: Richard McNamara
- Telly Savalas: Telly Savalas
- René Kolldehoff: Robert Spafford
- José Suarez: Tony La Penna
- Georges Géret: Edward Mannix
- Guy Mairesse: Charles Borromel
- Benito Stefanelli: Larry Dolgin
- Adolfo Lastretti: Ted Rusoff
- Paco Sanz: George Higgins
- Giuseppe Pollini: Craig Hill

Re-dubbed version:

- James Coburn: James Coburn
- Bud Spencer: Richard McNamara
- Telly Savalas: Telly Savalas
- René Kolldehoff: Robert Spafford
- José Suarez: Edward Mannix
- Georges Géret: Edward Mannix
- Benito Stefanelli: Larry Dolgin
- Turam Quibo: Lewis E. Ciannelli
- Paco Sanz: Robert Braun

A few more new additions, too:

FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET (1971):

- Marisa Fabbri: Nona Medici
- Corrado Olmi: Robert Sommer
- Stefano Satta Flores: Charles Howerton
- Renzo Marignano: Craig Hill

BLACK TURIN (1972):

- Marcel Bozzuffi: Lewis E. Ciannelli
- Giovanni Pallavicino: Robert Braun
- Giuliana Rivera: Nona Medici

IT CAN BE DONE AMIGO (1972):

- Roberto Camardiel: Walter Williams

THE TRUE AND THE FALSE (1972):

- Adalberto Maria Merli: David Mills
- Ettore Geri: Walter Williams
- Esmeralda Ruspoli: Nona Medici

Of course, all the data has now been added. We were travelling a lot in May, so unfortunately the topic got a little lost.

Johan, thank you very much for all the information. The blog article is really great, very detailed and interesting!
